1. Scuba diving

Scuba diving provides a low-impact workout that tones your entire body through constant resistance provided by the water. During a single dive you can burn more than 500 calories. Scuba’s deep-breathing technique can also lower blood pressure, reduce stress and even boost lung function – so it’s a great all-rounder. If you’re a newbie, get used to diving by taking a snorkel and a mask with you into a swimming pool (no need to feel silly!) – it will help you feel comfortable being under water for extended periods of time.
