‘Change is as good as a rest,’ says Liz Goodchild, life coach and running guru. ‘Now’s the time to sign up for that marathon, or the salsa classes you’ve had your eye on. Don’t wait until the new year – do it now. Break up your daily routine, especially at work. Instead of soup from the office microwave, go outside at lunchtime, admire the Christmas decorations and get a Christmas-themed coffee.’ There are so many opportunities available to try new things, with people in a bright and upbeat mood and keen to share. If you find you have a passion for something you’ve previously not considered, make sure you carry on with it.
