Avocados have heaps of skin-loving benefit and that’s why an avocado face mask recipe is the perfect treat for your skin. Here are just a few reasons why this green gem is so special!

1. The natural oils in avocado are a good source of collagen. Collagen is responsible for maintaining skin elasticity, which keeps skin looking young and helps reduce ageing.

2. Avocados are bursting with vitamin A, which helps purge off any dead skin cells.

3. The antioxidants in avocados detoxify your body, helping to remove all the toxins that can lead to ageing and wrinkles.

4. Avocado oil’s great moisture-retaining abilities make it an amazing moisturiser for those with dry skin.

The mask’s other ingredients are pretty special too. Raw honey is great for skin due to its wonderful antibacterial effects and potent antioxidants. Lemons contain properties, which help to remove dead skin cells and help clear up blackheads and acne. Coconut oil is the best addition, as its effects on your skin are really off-the-charts amazing! Coconut oil is naturally antibacterial, antifungal, moisturising and hydrating to the skin, making it an incredible skin cleanser. I sometimes just use this on its own if i don’t have any time to make the complete mix!
