2. Use highlighter

Like moisturiser, applying a highlighter is really simple. It takes just seconds and instantly brightens and lifts your complexion. Glowing cheekbones in a flash? Yes please.

Julia explains: ‘A great tip to always remember is that a highlighter should be almost the colour of your skin. Highlighters are important when you’re contouring because they bring the light back into your face, so try to avoid anything with noticeable sparkles, to keep your look as natural as possible. For instant cheekbones, suck in your cheeks as it’s the best way to find the hollows and always work from the tops of the hollows inwards, shading along and just beneath.’
