Take your gym game to the next level this year with our top fitness trends for 2015

With the start of a new year upon us, the fitness industry is really hotting up, heralding lots of exciting new fitness trends for 2015. Given our increasingly busy schedules, the need to train smarter rather for longer is at the forefront of everyone’s fitness plans – and what better time to start than now? Here are some of our favourite key classes and trends to look out for in 2015.

1. Swap body conditioning classes for indoor bootcamps

Barry’s Bootcamp is not a new phenomenon in the states, but is still only heating up in the UK. This high-energy indoor bootcamp can burn up to 1,000 calories per class! The workouts are an hour long and include 25-30 minutes of interval cardiovascular treadmill routines and 25-30 minutes of strength training using free weights, resistance bands, medicine balls and other equipment.

Trainers, muscle groups targeted and workout formats vary throughout the week so no one class is ever the same, and the loud music creates an energising atmosphere to keep you going strong. If you like consistency and want a guaranteed high-intensity workout (without having to think about it), an indoor bootcamp like Barry’s is a great option for 2015.
