Is that a glimmer of sun we spy? Banish your bingo wings to ensure you look amazing as the mercury rises

Winter is finally on its way out and T-shirt weather is just around the corner! We can’t wait to start planning our summer holidays, but the arrival of warmer weather means no more hiding under layers of fabric. Now is the time to get to work on shaping that killer summer body!

Women typically store fat on their arms and it can be very tough to shift. If you’re worried about rolling up your sleeves and baring all, then look no further – follow our tips on how to minimise the jiggle factor and make sure you never say no to a strapless dress again!

1. Losing overall body weight
Bingo wings are often a problem area for women, but while fat is happy to gather in one specific area, you can’t target exercise to one body part alone and expect to see a change. If you’re carrying extra weight, shedding the excess pounds will have an impact on your whole body, including your arms. Try making healthy food swaps and committing to a regular fitness regime in order to see positive results. We’re big fans of high intensity interval training for really ramping up your fat burn.

2. Pump some iron
Even if you’re naturally slim, a lack of tone and definition in your arms will mean they still wobble when you wave. Toning your upper body will improve the overall appearance of your arms – create long, lean muscles by incorporating moves such as press-ups, tricep dips and lateral raises into your workout routine.

3. Fake it
If the skin on your arms is looking a little lacklustre, try body-brushing before you shower to boost circulation or use a firming lotion to beat sagging skin. If you’re in need of a quick fix, fake tanning is a great way to increase confidence and give the appearance of even skin tone and slimmer limbs. For an instant pick me up, book in for a quick spray tan, or why not have a DIY spa day at home?
