3. Outdoor swimming
If swimming is your sport of choice, nothing beats a bracing dip in the open air, whether you want to get back to nature with a dip in the Serpentine or take advantage of a local lido. Luckily, there are loads of options to swim al fresco with open-air facilities, lakes and bodies of water throughout the country.
Swimming provides a great workout while helping de-stress due to the calm surroundings of the water. It’s great for the cardiovascular system and kinder to joints than exercises that use running and jumping, while the water also provides resistance that’s good for increasing strength and muscular endurance.
