2. Strength train

How high up your agenda is strength training? I bet not very! ‘Strength and conditioning work is vital’ says Nina. ‘It will not only help you reach the finish line quicker, but it also plays a major role in helping to prevent injury.’

Nina adds that ‘a runner is only as strong as their weakest link, and as running exerts a variety of stresses on the body it may also expose any underlying weakness’. Like that niggly knee that you’d rather not think about! Invest in your strength and stability and you will see the rewards. Try this workout to boost your run.
