As the UK City of Culture 2017, Hull definitely has a lot to offer if you’re looking to broaden your horizons. For anyone with a keen eye for art, Hull is not a city to be missed. The Ferens Art Gallery, host of this year’s Turner Prize, underwent a £5.2m refurbishment that has transformed it into a far more environmentally friendly space, with modern systems installed to control the temperature and humidity of the gallery. There are also plenty of cafes, restaurants, galleries and markets situated in the arts and cultural quarter where you can spend your time.
