Celebrate Active Nation Day with Lorna Jane

Celebrate Active Nation Day with Lorna Jane! There is something big happening this September to unite people in a healthy, productive way. For the sixth time, you can celebrate Active Nation Day with Lorna Jane.

Launched in 2012, with the goal of inspiring one another to take an interest in fitness and move together, the Lorna Jane event promises to be bigger and better than ever this year. Not only does the company now have 250 stores worldwide, but they are passionate about bringing fitness to the masses. In 2016 there were events across 16 countries. People form across the world came together to get active, moving a total of 15 million kilometres!

Getting healthy together

By promoting exercise, the Active Nation Day hopes to tackle the health issues that are currently plaguing the globe. Heart disease is the largest cause of death across the world. However, if everyone took part in regular exercise this figure could be drastically reduced. Being at a healthy weight means a lower chance of high blood pressure. So, take the first step towards improving your quality of life by taking part in this global event. Join the active movement!

The event will be opening its doors to hundreds of members of the public, for new experiences and new friendships. There’s no commitment here, you can choose whichever workout suits you or challenge yourself to something completely new. Classes with the likes of Charlotte Holmes, Kim Hartwell, Total Body London and many more will be taking place throughout the day, so you won’t be lacking in motivation. There are barre and yoga sessions on offer, alongside strength and resistance training, with Active Nation Day promising to be an occasion which will open your eyes to a bunch of different workout styles.

Find your fuel

At the event will be a host of food and drink vendors, beauty outlets and more, offering samples and exclusive sneak peeks of new launches. On top of this, there’ll be speakers including The Mindful Chef, Claire Goodwin and Bounce Balls Nutrition, covering topics as widespread as nutrition, anxiety management and mindfulness.

This year, Lorna Jane is also partnering with Ministry Does Fitness, the brainchild of Ministry of Sound. The London studio is the perfect spot to host such a social occasion, with its emphasis on community and team spirit. The studio regularly offers a mixture of classes, paired with a playlist to make any nightclub envious, topped off with a fully stocked bar. Ministry of Sound has been central to British club culture for the past 25 years, and it’s no surprise that they have successfully made a segway into the booming fitness scene.
