Soups are one of my favourite ways to get a real health boost. You can make them full of delicious, vitamin-rich vegetables that we all need, especially now in cold and flu season. But, when you need something more, and a typical bowl of vegetable soup just won’t do, you can’t beat these. When you need that extra kick, these five soup ingredients are guaranteed to keep your immune system on top form. In my opinion, we don’t pay enough attention to this wonderful ingredient. Lemongrass is a natural source of vitamin A, B and C, folate, magnesium, zinc, calcium, and iron. Not only is it rich in vital nutrients, but it’s also high in antioxidants, so makes a great ingredient for those of you wanting to have a detox.
