With the days getting shorter and the festive social calendar getting increasingly busy, finding the motivation and time to squeeze in a workout can seem like a tall order. Bex Fairbrother, founder of Well Aware, a London-based concierge service that helps connect people with the city’s health and wellness scene brings you top tips from leading experts to ensure you stay fit and healthy during the festivities.

1. Be Consistent

Keep your exercise routine up during the winter months. While it may not seem appealing to drag yourself to the gym in the dark, has anyone ever said they regretted that workout? Thought so! If substituting nights out for nights in the gym is an absolute no no, schedule your workouts in the morning to free up your evenings. Join a gym or a fitness studio near your work. Lay your fitness gear out the night before so you’re good to go in the morning. ‘Organisation is key. If your alarm goes off and it’s dark and cold but my gym bag is packed and ready to go, then I go into autopilot,’ says Bex. ‘If I have to root through the washing basket, it’s game over.’ Consistency and organisation are key to staying on track during the festive period.
