Win a pair of tickets to The Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Show!

London’s alpine festival, The Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Show, is back. And they’re giving away four pairs of tickets! The Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Show showcases thrill-seeking entertainment, informative talks, the latest apparel and equipment. And, of course, après in abundance. Sound good? Keep reading to find out how to enter!

What is it?

The Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Show returns to Battersea Evolution at Battersea Park, bringing with it London’s biggest annual alpine scene. Running through October half-term from 26 – 29 October, the festival appeals to the nervous beginner, the seasoned pro, and every shredder in between. Book your next ski holiday, watch the pros do their thing, listen to the latest snow news and indulge in authentic alpine food. It’s the perfect way to lap up the fun before the winter season well and truly kicks off.

What’s in store

Head to the main hall for a broad range of exhibitors. These include ski resorts, tour operators and all the top ski and snowboard brands, as well as a tech innovation zone with the most cutting-edge gadgets for winter. Speak to the experts to find the perfect resort for you or check into a one-to-one session at the Travel Genius Bar to discover your options.

Also not to be missed is the Mountain Talks Theatre, brought to you by Neilson. This features a great line-up of expert guest speakers covering everything from sustainability to avalanche safety. Here you’ll also be able to check out screenings of some of the industry’s best ski films.

A celebration of all things ski and snow wouldn’t be complete without the athletes that make the sport what it is. Lucky then, that a number of Team GB athletes will be in attendance before they head off to the Winter Olympics 2018. Confirmed athletes include world cup halfpipe gold medal skier Rowan Cheshire, British Mens Alpine Ski Champion Billy Majorthe UK’s top aerial skier Lloyd Wallace and the best ranked giant slalom skier in Britain, Charlie Raposo. Spot the athletes around the festival or head to the Neilson Mountain Experts Theatre where members of the British Ski and Snowboard Team will be taking part in talks. A full list of team appearances can be found here.

The fun continues

Perhaps the most exciting part of the festival is Mount Battersea. The 50ft real-snow kicker returns to play host to incredible stunts and tricks from the show’s team of pro riders. Performing their gnarliest tricks throughout the day, the electric atmosphere is not to be missed. This year’s athletes will also compete in a brand new Big Air competition. Presented by Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, riders will do their best to impress the judges for a prize pot share of £3,000 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

If that wasn’t enough to tire you out, ice skating, avalanche training, ski technique video analysis, a boot-fitting clinic and après lodges are just some of the other activities that await. When re-fuelling is required, head over to the numerous alpine street food stalls serving up mulled wine, tartiflette and Swiss cheese burgers in quick succession.
