She’s still one of the most in-demand health and food bloggers right now, especially since she’s just partnered up with Savse Smoothies on their new #GetTheGlow range. So team WHL decided it was time for a kitchen catch-up with Madeleine Shaw.
If you follow her on Instagram (if you don’t you should!), you’ll know that there’s no end to the stream of yummy recipes that she posts – whether it’s a soup or a salad, we can’t help but double-tap it all. With so many recipes and ingredients to choose from, we wanted to get the popular nutritionist herself to break everything down for those of us who love to eat healthy, hearty meals and aren’t sure where to start…
What are your must-have ingredients?
‘Avocados are a breakfast staple for me, and they’re a great source of biotin for healthy nails, hair and glowing skin. Eat them for breakfast or throw them in a salad or a smoothie.
Coconut oil is packed with medium-chain triglycerides that get used as energy. It’s such a great oil to cook with as it has a high smoking-point and doesn’t denature with heat.
Free-range eggs are an awesome source of protein. They help to repair cells that have suffered free-radical damage from pollution and a poor diet. I love eating mine poached, scrambled, folded and always with a good dose of veggies.’
