‘I love going picking for sloes and making sloe gin – it’s a bit of a tradition in our household and makes a great festive treat for a frosty day. That, and the mince pies…’
Erica Bush, intern
‘I really love training outdoors in winter, there’s something lovely about feeling leaves crunch under your feet and fresh, cool air against your skin. It’s also a fantastic excuse to refuel with a warming chai latte at the end of your workout.’
Bethan Taylor, writer
‘I love winter as an excuse to refresh my wardrobe. There is nothing better than putting on a big jumper and boots with a chunky scarf. I also love hot chocolates, ice skating and layering up in full length leggings before heading out on a run’
Marianne Seymour, intern
‘Darker mornings aren’t great but empty gyms are. I still get up at ‘crazy o’clock’ because it’s the only time I have my pick of the equipment and studio space. Result!’
Lisa Nguyen, brand ambassador
‘I love rustling up tasty soups to warm my cockles any time of day. Soups pack in a lot of flavour and are a great way to eat the seasons.’
Joanna Knight, co-founder
‘I love going to a hot yoga class first thing in the morning to get my core temperature up on those frostier days. Knowing there’s a super warm room to go to makes it easier to get out of my cosy bed in the mornings.’
Amanda Khouv, co-founder
‘I love winter because it means I’m allowed to start getting excited about Christmas! I love the mulled wine, Christmas parties and the family time. As soon as the chillier days start drawing in, I secretly start buying Christmas tree decorations, eyeing up Christmas prezzies and planning trips to the skating rinks and christmas markets! I love spending the run-up to Christmas in London where there’s a big buzz, lots of events and sparkly lights, then I’m so tired I can’t wait to head home to see my parents in the countryside on Christmas Eve and the big day. Pjs, prezzies and a brisk walk are usually the order of the day.’

“Winter season is a perfect opportunity for me to take my cardio training routine to the next level. Rather than hitting the treadmill in my gym’s studio, I gear up and take my interval workout outside. Not only do I burn extra calories exercising in the cold, as my body’s thermoregulatory system has to work more to keep me warm throughout my session, I also escape the after-work rush hour. Bonus!”
