Arianna Huffington
The co-founder and editor in chief of The Huffington Post has become one of the most influential women in the media. She may seem like an unlikely number on the list – in 1973 she wrote a book called The Female Women attacking Germaine Greer’s The Female Eunuch and the Women’s Liberation Movement in general. But she maintains she is a staunch feminist, and calls for a ‘third woman’s revolution’ in the workplace – focusing more on people and less on the male-dominated ‘burnout’ culture so common today. She has transformed her own life and the working conditions of her employees by embracing what she calls The Third Metric, with a greater emphasis on wellness as outlined in her bestselling book, Thrive.
