‘My workout schedule is always a complete mash-up. It usually includes some classes and free weights at Gymbox Old Street, some sessions at new studios – this week I’m loving Project Fit – some running and a race at the weekend.
‘The Gymbox classes Bartendaz and Frame Fitness have to be my favourite classes. Bartendaz combines chin-ups and pull-ups on the indoor frames with other bodyweight exercises. Frame Fitness is just like CrossFit without the cult and the price tag.
‘Cycling the length of Scotland earlier this year has to be my greatest fitness achievement. When I was invited to be part of Team Adidas for the Scotland Package of the Ride Across Britain only two weeks after putting on my first pair of cycling shorts and with only three weeks to train, I didn’t even hesitate before saying yes. I was bloody amazed I arrived at John O’Groats.
‘Reducing my intake of crisps is my new year goal. Despite what I might want to believe three bags of crisps a day is not the fuel of champions.
‘There are loads of crazy fitness things I would like to try. I was up at the Commonwealth Fencing Championships today and so I fancy giving that a stab!’
