Yoga lovers, listen up! West London gym Alex Fitness is hosting Breathe, a day packed with all things yoga on Saturday 17 September.
They’re bringing together five different teachers for five different classes held throughout the day, each of whom will give varying perspectives on the importance of appreciating the way you breathe. Plus, all profits from the day are going to a London-based registered charity.
Have the energising wake-up call you need with Nell Clough, who’ll lead a dynamic vinyasa to get your blood pumping and senses firing. She encourages strong, focused movements which develop awareness and alignment. It’s sure to get you pumped for the rest of the day!
Or why not try a Pranayama breathing exercise class by Jagadamba, a yoga teacher who specialises in helping expecting mothers with her pre- and post-natal classes. As well as helping them to have a calm and relaxing birth, she aims to help people develop ‘psychologically, physically, and mentally’ through breathing exercises.
If you want to try something completely different, pop in to the seminar from Addictive Daughter. The life coaches and best friends, whose aim is to ‘get you addicted to the good stuff’ have taken their previous experiences of being ‘addicted to obsessing over relationships ‘ and turned them into a healing process to help other people become healthier and happier.
Take a headstand workshop with Francesa Quaradeghini, an expert of yoga for over twelve years, and a certified holistic therapist, who hones in on traditional yogic practices to help increase confidence and awareness in your day-to-day life.
Finally, finish the whole thing off with Billie de Melo Wood, who is leading a yoga and meditation class to wind down the day. She practises Vipassana meditation and Yoga Asana, a class that calms the mind and body by teaching strength and balance, guaranteeing you leaving happy and content.
Whatever you decide to try, make sure you treat yourself to a chilled lunch at the juice bar, too.
Members can simply reserve their place by emailing events@alex-fitness.co.uk, while non-members will need to purchase a £22 ticket here.
