Tackling symptoms

These lozenges from Covonia are made up of two halves – a white side including a powerful menthol vapour and a brown side containing a mouth and throat-warming flavour. Tamzin Outhwaite says: ‘I love Covonia Extra Strong Lozenges, they’ve got a really good kick.’

Director of the Common Cold Centre, Professor Ron Eccles, also recommends them: ‘If you do become ill, tackle the symptoms of colds with over-the-counter medicines such as aspirin, paracetamol and ibuprofen. Try lozenges, cough syrups and nasal decongestant sprays, too. Covonia lozenges and syrups contain menthol which clears the nose and capsicum which soothes sore throats.’
