  1. Stay away from junk food

We all love binging on junk food occasionally, but it’s not good for you – particularly if you have IBS. Chantel says, ‘You will most definitely need to cut out foods high in fat, salt and sugar. Cutting out your favourite treats will probably be one of the hardest things you’ll ever do so be prepared for a tough challenge. But boy it’ll be worth it. Through four years of constant trial and error and keeping a food diary I discovered that what I was putting in my body was the single most important factor when it came to managing my symptoms.’
