‘Life should be about moderation – if you feel like a lie in, let your body have a lie in!’
Health and fitness PR and BOOMCycle instructor Naomi White leads a predictably fast-paced life, and her mornings are no exception. Waking at 6am on weekdays, Naomi likes to get in an early workout to kick-start her metabolism with a park run and some HIIT before breakfast. This is followed by a protein-rich breakfast of porridge from Rude Health, or poached eggs and everyone’s favourite, avo on rye bread. To help with energy levels and fat burn, Naomi recommends a quick coffee before a fasted morning workout to prevent burnout.
However hectic her schedule is, Naomi is an advocate of listening to her body, and allows herself a lie-in at weekends – or, if she feels she needs it, a rest day.
A top tip from Naomi is to set your alarm for 5-10 minutes earlier than you want to get up. At WHL we believe daily me-time is essential, and fitting some in before the day starts is great for the soul. Naomi likes to use it to browse Instagram for fitness inspiration to kick-start a healthy day – but if you want to use it for cat videos, we completely understand.
