4. Progressive relaxation

It’s amazing how much tension we can hold in our muscles. Check in with your body every so often; are you tensing your stomach or your shoulders? Taking the time to relax your whole body can have a great effect on us mentally and physically. Imagine that all the muscles in your body are relaxing in turn. Start with your toes and then move up into your legs, hips, stomach, back, shoulders, arms, neck and then face. Imagine all the muscles softening and releasing. Doesn’t that feel good?!
