Spa treatments from around the world

Indian head massage

Where did it originate?

The Indian head massage is an ancient treatment derived from Ayurvedic medicine – a traditional method of Indian medicine that dates back to the 3rd century AD. The Indian head massage was introduced to the western world in the 1970s and is now a popular form of relaxation.

What is it?

The Indian head massage is said to release harmful stores of negative energy. The treatment will relieve stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. The therapist uses a variety of different movements to gently stimulate and stroke pressure points on the face.
