Back from your beach break? Sail through the rest of summer in style with these simple post-hol beauty fixes!
Your holiday may have come to an end, but you don’t have to say goodbye to your fresh-from-hols glow just yet. From dry skin to a fading tan, we’ve put together our top five tips to beat post-holiday pitfalls and ensure you look fantastic through the rest of summer and beyond.
1 Exfoliate regularly
Exfoliating was probably high on your pre-holiday to-do-list, but body buffing once or twice a week is just as important post-holiday to make sure your tan doesn’t flake away and your skin feels super-soft. ‘Ensure you exfoliate at least once a week to remove dead skin cells, reveal new healthy skin and maintain that post holiday glow,’ says X-Factor makeup artist Julia Carta.
2 Stay moisturised
Want to make your suntan last longer? Upgrading to a good body care routine will keep your glow going strong. ‘Add a few drops of the Clarins Radiance Plus Body Golden Glow Booster into a multi-tasking moisturiser,’ says Julia. It will moisturise, prime and leave your skin with a natural, subtle glow, while helping you maintain a holiday tan.
3 Smooth away flaws
If all that holiday partying has taking its toll, it’s time to take action so your skin doesn’t give anything away. ‘ Applying a concealer and foundation will help to conceal any post holiday imperfections,’ shares Anna. Smooth away flaws with BareMinerals SPF 20 Correcting Concealer and follow with BareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation.
4 Hone a healthy glow
Your face is the first thing people notice about you, and a fresh glow will ensure you make a lasting impression. Use a product like New Look Pure Colour Baked Blusher. ‘Apply your blusher on the apples of your cheeks and on your cheekbones to give you a healthy, luminous glow,’ says Julia.
5 Beat dry skin
The aeroplane environment can lead to a dry complexion and parched lips, so re-hydrate with a moisturising balm to offset negative effects that could linger after skin is exposed to the dry cabin air. ‘A hard-working balm will leave lips smooth, hydrated and complete your healthy glow look,’ says Julia. Load up on Dr. Paw Paw Original Balm, a multi-tasker that also doubles up as a handy moisturiser.
