The ‘mysterious matte’
There’s no doubt you will have seen matte nails proliferate Instagram throughout 2015. Whether it was introduced on the catwalk or by the Kardashians (it’s a work-related follow!), we can’t deny that it’s a trend that’s as cool as it is easy, and it’s mostly the latter that’s keeping us interested! But while 2015 saw all colours undergoing the matte treatment, the SS16 catwalks made it clear that only one colour palette was making it through to the next year: midnight shades. We’re talking jet black, chic navy, slate grey and the darkest of maroons. Let your nails do the talkin’.

Tip: Try to minimise brush strokes to one or two and be quick before your first stroke dries matte ahead of your second!
