In a nutshell:

The activity tracker to beat this year, the latest offering from Garmin is designed for women, meaning you get substance and style.

Why we like it:

In the past, fitness watches have been one of two extremes: great but bulky, or sleek but inefficient. The Garmin Fenix 5S finally manages to overcome this dilemma, amalgamating in a seriously capable GPS multisport watch that’s neither massive nor ugly. Designed for women – yay! – it’s small (as fitness watches go), compact and seriously aesthetically pleasing. Such advancements in style haven’t taken away from function, though. Quite the opposite: the Garmin Fenix 5S boasts more features than we can count and you’d be hard-pushed not to be impressed by its abilities. Tracking everything from running to SUP-ing (and all the climbing, hiking, biking, rowing, golfing, skiing and swimming in between), it goes above and beyond to tick all your sporting needs. And if it doesn’t, there’s always the option to add in your own. The watch also shines as a day-to-day fitness tracker, analysing sleep, steps and heart rate among other things. Yes, it’s pricey but when it’s comprehensive, accurate and stylish, it’s an investment you won’t regret.
