This session is a combination of explosive cardio teamed with body-weight resistance exercises that target the major muscle groups. It aims to maintain and build lean muscle mass while giving you a cardio challenge. These quick bouts of intense exercise will jumpstart your metabolism and keep you burning calories all day.
This six-move workout requires no kit and you can do it practically anywhere; it should be performed once or twice a week.
Each set lasts 30 seconds with 10 seconds to get ready for the next move. You should aim to do the circuit twice in 15 minutes. If you don’t have a timer, perform 10 reps of each exercise in the circuit, then repeat.
Jumping jacks
Areas worked: legs, shoulders and core
Start with your feet together and your hands at your sides then jump while raising your arms and opening your legs. Land with your feet apart and arms overhead. Jump back into the start position to complete one rep then flow straight into the next one to get a continuous movement going.
