What do you need for a good workout? Maybe a great playlist to get your heart pumping? Perhaps a nutritious meal beforehand to boost your energy? Or maybe just some tips on how to dress to improve your fitness performance?
There are many important factors that count when you’re trying to perform your best, but if you want to drive a good performance, it may be as straightforward as wearing the right active wear. When you feel like you’re looking your best, your confidence increases and so does your motivation to work hard. It’s as simple as that: look good to perform well!
ShopStyle and POPSUGAR have carried out extensive research about what drives us to perform well while exercising. According to the study, 50 per cent of fitness buffs say that they perform at their highest level when they’re looking good. The research also discovered that nearly a fifth of us gain fitspiration from our favourite celebrities. We envy their amazing physical achievements and wonder how they could be so damn perfect. However, everyone has to start from somewhere, so why not become your own inspiration? If you make sure that every time you go to the gym you’re feeling like you are the most confident, self-assured and sexy version of yourself, then nothing can stop you from reaching your fitness and body goals!
A massive proportion of us exercise on a regular basis, with 40 per cent of us exercising for over four hours a week. That amounts to a staggering approximation of 200 hours a year! That’s a lot of time dedicated to keeping ourselves fit and in tip-top shape. Surely if we’re spending so much time working out, we should make sure that time isn’t wasted by not reaching our full potential. Right?
The popularity of sport and fitness continues to grow at a steady pace. However, ShopStyle and POPSUGAR found that almost 60 per cent of us spend less than £50 a month on our exercise regime, which includes things like gym memberships and workout gear. Maintaining your fitness levels is incredibly important for your overall health, so you have the right to invest a little for long-term results! Right, time for a shopping spree!
