Straight-leg deadlift
Instructions
With your feet hip-width apart, hold a barbell with both hands just wider than hip-width.
Keeping the barbell close to your legs throughout, bend at the hips to slowly lower the barbell to about mid-shin height, keeping your heels on the floor and chest up.
Keep your shoulders back and gaze forwards throughout.
Extend the hips to lift the barbell back to the start and repeat.
Top tip:
Keep your knees soft to avoid hyperextension.
