We Heart Living – 5 sports to try this spring

5. Ultimate Frisbee

If you’ve ever thrown a Frisbee, it’s been in a casual manner on the beach or to the dog. Playing Ultimate Frisbee takes the humble disc and turns it into a tool to crush your opponents in a fast-paced, highly competitive sport. Intense, and strategic, Ultimate is played between two teams of seven players on a pitch with ‘endzones’, which are goal scoring areas. A goal is scored when a team completes a pass to a player standing or running into their target endzone. Playing Ultimate Frisbee uses a variety of muscles, but the legs, arms and core really get the full benefit as you throw, jump and catch.
