5 of the best outdoor workouts

British Military Fitness

If serious fun is what you’re after, then look no further than British Military Fitness. You don’t need an interest in becoming a Sergeant Major to take part. The class participants are split into three main ability groups: blue for beginners, red for intermediates, and green for advanced.

Rather than segregate anyone, this system is designed to make sure you push to your full potential, so you work as hard as you can without going completely beyond your limit.

The session involves running, sprinting, press-ups, sit-ups, squats, jumping jacks and burpees – all simple moves – but you will work your butt off. Literally.
