  1. Run to work/go early

Start early. ‘Running to work is a great way to start your day and to get your heart and lungs strong,’ says Carly Newson, UK Nike trainer. ‘It will also help cut your time down in the gym as you’re getting your cardio done first thing in the morning so you don’t need to be spending hours after work or before a Christmas party in the gym on a treadmill.’ And you’ll feel so much better for it!
