Here are our picks of the best running gadgets.
Best for triathletes
The TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio (£249.99, tomtom.com) is a serious piece of kit, making you feel like a pro as soon as it’s strapped it to your wrist. The large face is easy to read on the move and the one-button control made it super-simple to use, and I loved being able to measure my heart rate without having to wear an annoying chest strap. The QuickGPSFix feature was fantastic – nothing is more frustrating than waving your arm around trying to pick up GPS at the start of a run, but it connected quickly and gets you on the move right away. The TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio is pretty pricey, but it’s a great investment for a serious runner or multi-sports enthusiast.
Key features: built-in heart rate monitor, one-button control, extra large screen, QuickGPSFix technology, TomTom Mysport mobile app, heart rate training zones, interval training, ultra-slim design.
Why we love it: it’s is the whole package and really does do everything.
