Take some inspiration from our fave healthy recipe books to kick-start your healthy eating habits
No matter how far along you are in your wellness journey, it’s always important to seek inspiration from people who have been there and done it. I know that whenever I’ve struggled, reaching for a book for advice can help so much. Here are some of my favourites:

Kris Carr’s story is nothing short of miraculous. Diagnosed with incurable cancer, she set off on a journey to rediscover her body and her health. Through adopting a plant-based diet she is not only living, she’s thriving.
Crazy Sexy Diet breaks down nutrition into easy to digest chapters, explaining the science behind many theories. There is also a great focus on how to live your life in the best way possible. I just love her ethos and her attitude.

One thing I’m super passionate about is sugar. How it affects our whole body and mind, not just our waistline….and it does…a lot! One of the best books on the subject is by Robert Lustig. He covers everything from the biochemistry of our metabolisms to how much sugar is really in our food. It’s a must-read for anyone who wants to gain a real understanding of the prevalence of sugar in our lives today.
Clean, Dr. Alejandro JungerA trained doctor, fed up with the western view of medicine, Dr. Junger has developed a more holistic approach to healthcare. Years of research has led to this amazing book, which is definitely one of my go-to guides for how healthy food, clean living and a balanced life can impact our health. He even talks through his ‘clean’ detox plan, which has helped thousands of patients kick-start their new lives. It’s made me wish more medical professionals took this approach!
