Lots of people avoid dairy these days, whether that’s due to a full-blown allergy or a mild intolerance, as dairy foods can have a whole range of unpleasant side effects for some people. But giving up dairy doesn’t have to mean eating bland boring food. Check out our pick of the best dairy free treats out there…
1. Coyo Coconut Yoghurt
These delicious yoghurts are made from coconut and plant-based biocultures and come in a fantastic range of flavours, from natural to vanilla and chocolate. It’s the perfect dairy free alternative to your regular breakfast yoghurt and can be jazzed up with berries, nuts and seeds. It’s also a great dessert option – try grating dark chocolate over the top or layering it with fruit purée and dark choc.

2. Almond milk
There are lots of dairy free milks out there, but almond milk is by far and away our favourite when it comes to taste. It’s perfect over cereals and in tea and really comes into its own in smoothies. It also packs a filling protein punch thanks to all the nuts! So it’s a perfect recovery option for those who hit the gym regularly. Almond milk can be a little sweet though, so if that doesn’t float your boat try coconut milk, which also scores highly on the taste front, but isn’t quite as sweet.
