Drinks like tea and coffee contain caffeine, which amplifies the effect of the stress hormone cortisol. This works with adrenaline to give you that high alert feeling, so redolent of stress. What many people don’t know is that chocolate, especially healthy dark chocolate, is also caffeinated so can have the same effect.
Stress fix
Swap to herbal teas and decaf coffee. Limit your chocolate and have it at the end of a meal, not on its own.
