2. Eating the wrong breakfast
If you’re hungry and irritable come 11.30, consider switching up your brekkie. Forget sugary cereals and granolas, a lovely plate of protein is one of the best ways to start your day. A study published in The FASEB JournalĀ  found that a higher protein breakfast meal containing 35g of protein improved appetite control, satiety, and reduced unhealthy snacking. Sounds good huh? Try it for yourself! ‘Fuel up with a couple of poached eggs on wholemeal toast or a smoothie made with whey protein, almond milk and berries as part of a healthy balanced diet,’ says nutritionist Louise Pyne (louisepynenutrition.com). No more grumbly tummy!
