Snacking can make or break a diet. Binge on bourbons and it’s all over, but snack smart and you’ll be smug and slim (and full!) all day long. Follow our hot tips to try our tastiest healthy snacks to make sure you stay on track.

1. Prepare your snacks before you head off to work for the day. Bananas are a great morning snack – and will power you through that lunchtime gym sesh – and a small portion of nuts makes for an easy afternoon treat. If you’re not keen on bananas, half an avocado is also a tasty mid-morning filler.

2. On busy days, or when you’re working out a lot, have protein-packed snacks to hand to power you through. Bounce Balls are a real favourite of ours. They come in a range of flavours, are full of natural goodness and pack a hefty protein punch.

3. For the weekend, splash out with some fancier snacks. Nut butters are delicious drizzled over banana or on oatcakes. And avocado mashed with some lemon and chilli, then spread over wholegrain toast is perfect if you’re after something a little more filling. Or, if you’ve got the time whizz up a speedy smoothie with any left over fruit and veggies from the week and add a splash of fruit juice to sweeten.
