Quinoa and oat porridge recipe

Brush off the chilly winter mornings with this quinoa and oat porridge recipe from Sally Roch. If you want to make your porridge even more virtuous try this quinoa and oat porridge recipe, it’ll up your brekkie’s credentials effortlessly!

 

Ingredients
Serves 1

350ml whole milk or water, or combination of both

1/8 tsp cinnamon

30g quinoa flakes

30g oats – gluten free if desired

Pinch of salt

Handful of blueberries

A drizzle of honey/agave nectar

 

 

Method

Combine everything in a medium sized pan apart from honey/agave nectar and blueberries and bring to the boil.

Turn down the heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes. Stirring frequently.

Allow to cool for at least 3 minutes before eating.

To serve top with blueberries and a drizzle of honey/agave nectar for extra sweetness.
