A healthy diet doesn’t have to be a boring one! Ok, so most desserts just don’t cut it when it comes to healthy eating, but with a bit of imagination you can turn some nutritional winners into sweet treats. Just tuck into these healthy desserts when the urge for the sweet stuff hits.

Cheeky trifle
Grab a pretty glass dish or even a glass and layer it with alternating layers of crushed almonds, Greek-style yoghurt and fresh, sliced strawberries. Top with a final layer of yoghurt and sprinkle a little dark chocolate or some cacao nibs over the top. Ta da! Guilt-free trifle!

Chia pudding
Mix chia seeds with some coconut milk and add some agave or honey to taste. Refrigerate for around two hours. Add fresh berries to serve. And voila! A tasty post-dinner treat.

Choccy fruit
Grab a few strawberries, a pack of cherries and chop up a banana. Melt some good quality dark chocolate (preferably 80 per cent or above) in a bowl over a pain of boiling water. While the chocolate is melting crush a bag of mixed nuts (or buy pre-chopped nuts). Once the chocolate has melted, dip each piece of fruit in the chocolate so that the chocolate covers half the piece of fruit. Then roll each piece of fruit in the chopped nuts. Leave to cool, then place in the fridge until the chocolate solidifies.
