Do you love snowboarding? Then you may be interested in getting involved with the Full Moon project, an exciting and unique project that celebrates the sport and women’s role in it.

Full Moon is a two-year film project that documents the past, present and future of women’s snowboarding and showcases some of the best female riders in the world. The Runway Films production is already underway and is expected to be released in autumn 2016. The female snowboarders, which include Marie France Roy, Helen Schettini, Robin Van Gyn, Leanne Pelosi, Jamie Anderson, Hana Beaman and Annie Boulanger, will work together as a crew to push their limits and film their adventures. The film features interviews and classic footage that pays tribute to the legends and celebrates snowboarding’s past.

Director and producer, Leanne Pelosi says: ‘Full Moon is attempting to build a piece of history and preserve our cultural heritage in snowboarding. By bringing this legendary crew together we are aiming to build community in snowboarding and empower people to get outside and enjoy the mountains.’

Full Moon is currently funded through Kickstarter and now needs your help to finish the project. The team is working with limited resources and the main goal of the Kickstarter campaign is to raise £25,000 towards hiring a secondary cinematographer for the 2016 season and to help with post-production costs. ‘This is our way of celebrating snowboarding and inviting you guys to be a part of it,’ says Leanne.
