Can’t wait to get into the Christmas spirit? Here are 5 festive classes you have to try!

We can’t get enough of Christmas here at WHL, which is why we’ve been on the lookout for festive-themed classes at our favourite fitness hang-outs. Whether you love the season as much as us, or simply want a class with a difference to keep you going through the winter, festive-themed classes promise to be as jolly as they are sweaty. Book yourself a class, put on your kicks and dig out your Santa hat for these 5 festive classes you have to try!

Ballet beautiful
There’s little more nostalgic than the Nutcracker at Christmas. Relive your childhood and embrace the season at Barreworks this December with their Nutcracker-themed classes. Opt for the classic theme, which will be running in the regular Ballet WorkOuts from mid-December – or try the special 90-minute Nutcracker/Alternative Christmas Ballet Workout on the 18 December at 5pm for a more modern interpretation. We’ll dig out our ballet shoes, then…

Party pleaser
For most of us, Christmas equals the annual office party, and usually involves a little too much alcohol and a little too much questionable dancing. For a different take on the work do this year, how about heading down to BOOM Cycle? Offering good beats, buckets of festive spirit and a booty-shaking workout you can be proud of, BOOM’s office party package is a serious crowd-pleaser. Studio rental starts from £250 and packages can be tailored to your individual company needs, but will generally consist of a 45-minute ‘party on a bike’ followed by freshly pressed juices teamed with Belvedere vodka. What more could you want?

Challenge yourself
For a real Christmas challenge, head to Centric:3Tribes where they will be holding ’12 Days of Fitmas’, a 12-class pass for the price of 10. Starting on 1 December, participants will need to use the passes over 12 consecutive days, and can be used across all three of their rooms – Rider, indoor cycling; Warrior, ‘the 1,000 calorie workout’; and Zen, yoga and barre. If you’re looking to make room for those mince pies, this is it.

Merry motivation
Didn’t think Best’s Bootcamp could get any better? Promising Christmas-themed classes complete with instructors in costume, Christmas tunes and drinks and treats afterwards, it just did. What’s more, rock your own festive fancy dress and you’ll get your class for free and if you’re still not satisfied, Santa will also be giving out presents to attendees. If that’s not workout motivation, we don’t know what is!

Christmas cracker
Themed spin nights are our favourite. Whether it’s queen Bey or a Naughties extravaganza, good beats and good vibes are a sure fire way to get you and your bike pushing to your max. Good news: things just got even better. This December, Psycle London will be hosting a range of special Christmas-themed rides to get you into the festive spirit and ride along to your favourite Christmas songs. Led by a team of experienced instructors and running at both the Mortimer Street and Canary Wharf studios, these are not to be missed!
