10 running rules you should be following

Get friends and family on board

External motivators are important over long periods. You can often lose your way and forget why you started running if you feel it isn’t adding something to your life. By having encouragement from others you reinforce why you started running, and you have a driving force giving you a needed push. Also, if you can encourage a friend to join you on your run it can make the activity a lot more fun AND you’ve got even more reason to get going if someone else is counting on you. If you’ve got a nagging partner or parent on your back, you are less likely to sit down and watch that film or programme and more likely to get on the move.
