More commonly known for adding to smoothies, spirulina is actually much more versatile. Aside from adding a scoop into your morning drink, try mixing it into this soup or stew. When it comes to using superfood powders, I like to match my colours, as they’re often quite vibrant. To avoid an unusual looking soup, make sure you pair a powder similar to the colours of your ingredients. I love adding spirulina into my mushroom soup recipe as it manages to melt away almost unnoticeably. Spirulina is a great source of iron and vitamin B12, aiding your metabolism and balancing your immune system. So, it’s definitely worth adding this boost into your soup bowls.
