Want to up your healthy eating game the easy way? Superfoods are the sneaky way to boost your vitamin and mineral intake, without having to spend hours slaving over the oven/food processor/chopping board – or rattling like a vitamin bottle as you pop every health pill in sight. We’ve cherry picked the newest (and easiest to ‘just chuck in’) superfoods to upgrade your meals with minimal effort.
Baobab
This nifty superfood comes in a handy powder form, and the fruit it comes from is packed with antioxidants and contains six times as much vitamin C as the humble orange. Impressive, huh? And it’s easy to use. Simply chuck into your morning smoothie, juice or yoghurt. Or, if you fancy being a bit more adventurous, you could add it to your cake mixtures and baked goods.

Goji berries
These tasty little blighters are packed with vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, vitamin C and vitamin E. Plus they contain more iron than spinach! We’ve always got a packet to hand. They’re handbag ready, desk-drawer friendly and perfect for sprinkling over yoghurts or porridge.

Black garlic
This is the simplest food swap ever – and an easy peasy way to upgrade a bog-standard dinner. Give regular garlic the boot and stock up on its sweeter (and much less smelly) cousin, black garlic. It’s chock full of antioxidants, with twice as many as its pasty relation. Chop, squish or crush, exactly as you would regular garlic, and add to salads, stir fries and casseroles at will.
