Roman-style pasta recipe

If you’ve got a big run coming up, or you just fancy some tasty comfort-food, give this Roman-style pasta recipe a go. Combining pork with tomatoes, cheese and pasta, it’s an Italian classic that’ll hit the spot every time.

Ingredients (serves 4)

360g bucatini pasta

600ml Cirio Passata Verace

70g pork

3tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Pecorino cheese

Salt and pepper

Method

Bring a large pan of boiling water to the boil, add salt and the bucatini pasta, then cook for 10 to 12 minutes.

Cut the pork into cubes and brown them in a hot pan over a low heat.

Add the Cirio passata and cook over a high heat for 10 minutes, adding seasoning as you go.

Combine the pasta with the tomato sauce, sprinkle with the cheese and serve.
