5. NO PAIN NO GAIN Since when did working out get so painful? A little ache that says ‘Well done you went to the gym’ will give you that little smug ‘I am getting fit and fabulous feeling’. Pain that makes you want to sleep downstairs just so you do not have to attempt to bend your legs or you cry at the thought of sitting on the toilet says: ‘Do not attempt this ever again – are you insane?’ Classes are so tough now that it’s not simply the following morning that you feel it, the pain seem to last forever. Yet by day 3 the gym bag is packed to perfection and you are ready. Bring it on.
