Cool down with this matcha lemonade recipe.
This is one of our favourite lunchtime drinks, and was created one hot summer’s day in Brooklyn, New York. With lots of lemon, agave and matcha, this matcha lemonade is a wonderfully zesty and fresh tonic.
Ingredients (serves 1)
½ tsp matcha powder
Squeeze of agave syrup
Juice of 1 freshly squeezed lemon
200ml sparkling water or soda water
Handful of ice cubes, to serve
4 mint leaves, to serve
Method
In a jug, mix the matcha powder and agave syrup into a paste.
Once dissolved, add the lemon juice and water.
Whisk well, then pour into a tall glass filled with ice, and serve with some mint leaves.
