Need to chill out? This mango, coconut and turmeric lassi is the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer’s day.
This summer is turning out to be a scorcher! And Margie Broadhead’s Guilt-Free Nice-Cream is quickly becoming our favourite way to cool down in the heat. And this mango, coconut and turmeric lassi is no exception.
‘Here is such a delicious combination of frozen banana and mango with a kick from the powerful spice, turmeric,’ say Margie. ‘Turmeric makes an unusual but delightfully surprising smoothie.’
Ingredients
1 banana, peeled and frozen
2tbsp coconut yoghurt
mango, peeled and destoned
375ml tinned coconut milk, chilled (thick part only)
1tsp ground cinnamon
1⁄4tsp ground turmeric
1tsp coconut oil
Toppings
Whipped Coconut Cream
Banana slices
1 handful of raspberries
Method
Simply blend everything together in a blender or food processor until smooth.
Then pour into a glass, layered with the Whipped Coconut Cream and serve topped with the bananas and raspberries.
