My friend Rachel came up with this little berry booster recipe – the perfect alternative to unhealthy shop-bought juices, this low-sugar beauty is a great way of getting kids to consume their greens. Packed with vitamins A, B, C, E and K, and folic acid, it also contains calcium, potassium and iron as an added boost for growing children.
Ingredients (serves 1)
Half an apple
Stick of celery
Chunk of courgette
Small piece of lime
Handful of blackberries
Method
Wash the fruit and veg, run everything bar the berries through the juicer, then blend with a handful of blackberries and serve with a straw to protect little teeth.
